    R888r sizes no longer available?

Hey guys, with summer coming up i was just about to order some tires. well it seems that the popular 265 40 17 size of r888r is not made anymore. This sucks. I love these tires for the NW, they have great wet traction and i have yet to find a tire with all around grip in the dry that compares.

What compares to this tire in the wet and the dry? Square setup of 265 40 17 apex arc8 17x9.5

I dont want to run a drag tire, i love the twisties, the r888r was best of both worlds. This is the only non drag tire ive been able to find that wont light em up, under 60mph that is haha.

Have you tried the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500's? They are great tires imho.

Well i guess i will just run a 255 up front and a 275 in the rear, no big deal. Ive been running the 888rs on 19s and i havent run the r888rs on my 17s yet, but i swear i saw them online in that size. Maybe im just seeing $#@!.

And no i havent, but we use firehawks on our vehicles at work and they seem to grip fairly well. But those are awd, and have half the power so its tough for me to compare, thanks for the advice i might pick a set up.
