    The Golf GTI is a great value tuning platform and hitting over 500 horsepower with it is pretty routine at this point. It almost sounds crazy to say but there are several turbo upgrade options out there and even hybrid units that bolt in which will take you to 400, 500, or 600 horsepower and beyond.


    The TTE535 turbo from the Turbo Engineering Germany is rated for 535 crank horsepower. It is safe to say they are hitting that output:


    438 PS at the wheels puts it right in that ~500 crank horsepower range on pump gas.

    606Nm works out to 447 lb-ft of torque at the wheels.

    If going beyond this level most tuners would agree an engine build is necessary.

    A nice daily driven sleeper here.
