  • 11-second FWD - MKVII VW GTI w/ DBV2 V1 IS38 turbocharger running 11.8@124.72

Imagine getting smoked on the dragstrip by a FWD (front wheel drive) Golf. This MKVII GTI is plenty potent with a DBV2 modified V1 IS38 turbocharger. The factory IS38 turbo powers the MKVII Golf R as well as the Audi S3 and is a popular and affordable GTI turbo swap.

It's not hard to see why with these results:

The 60 foot obviously could improve and it will when the owner goes to drag rubber up front.

Beyond the modified IS38 the car is running Precision RaceWorks MPI and a PAG Parts Walbro 450 LPH fuel pump. Tune is by Moosetuned.

Definitely a GTI that would surprise a few people.

How is this impressive? Our Cast MQB upgrade cost less than that, and our GTI with nothing more than seats removed, Tune, FBO, and PI runs consistent 10 sec passes... 11.8 in a GTI on a hybrid is very very slow in 2019. No offense, maybe you were not aware of that.
