Today, 08:22 AM///MPOSTER replied to a thread The wine cellar: What are you sipping on? in Off Topic - Work/School SafeDid they at least ship it to you for free or for $1? I keep getting calls and emails about “specials” these last two months from all the places we visited a year ago. I hope that the wine is really good. After trying to finish off some cases of wine , I am starting to feel like I’ve found some better ones in the $25-30 range . So Ive cancelled all of our auto shipments. It gets pretty expensive when the cases are getting up to $500. I can’t imagine paying $1500 for 6! I’ll read up on the Sine Qua Non.1432 replies | 372887 view(s)

Today, 01:02 AMSticky created an article Dyno testing the Eurocode/SRM Audi 2.5 TFSI throttle body pipe & IC outlet pipe upgrade for the 8V RS3 and 8S MKIII TT-RS in Audi Performance - Forums, Tuning, Blog, Motorsport, and Modification NewsThere is a 30-minute video that accompanies the testing results but for those who do not have a half-hour to spare AudiBoost will summarize what you need to know. Essentially, the 2.5 TFSI sees a restriction with the factory elbow pipe and the Eurocode/SRM pipe is aerodynamically engineered to improve flow. Plenty of data is provided and you will see gains through the curve although the meat of it is in the mid-range: Max gains on Stage 1 91Oct out of 4 runs near redline These value are for Horsepower and Torque increase to the wheels, see graphs. 21HP & 26lb/ft TQ @ 4150RPM Run 1 18HP & 15lb/ft TQ @ 6350RPM Run 2 15HP & 13lb/ft TQ @ 5950RPM Run 3 14HP & 12lb/ft TQ @ 6000RPM Run 4 Max gains on Stage 1 E85 out of 3 runs near redline These value are for Horsepower and Torque increase to the wheels, see graphs for reference. 14HP & 11lb/ft TQ @ 6800RPM Run 1 11HP & 10lb/ft TQ @ 6000RPM Run 2 15HP & 15lb/ft TQ @ 5500RPM Run 3 Let's look at Run 1 on 91 octane: And Run 1 on E85: The gains are not as pronounced on the E85 tune but you still see gains in similar rpm ranges showing the factory piece is a restriction. Going to a hybrid turbo would exacerbate the factory restriction. This will work with all factory hardware: It might be interesting to see what a bored out throttle body would do with the more efficient pipe.0 replies | 115 view(s)

Today, 12:32 AMSticky created an article Weistec releases 600 hp capable W.3 Mercedes M276 DELA30 V6 turbo upgrade - 43 AMG models + W205 C400/C450, W212 E400/E450 in Mercedes-AMG Performance - Forums, Tuning, Blog, Motorsport, and Modification News43 AMG owners no longer have to feel left out and they are getting attention with turbo upgrades for the M276 DELA30 V6 coming to market. The platform is quite capable with 600+ horsepower in reach depending on supporting modifications and fuel quality of course. Keep in mind this is a hybrid upgrade which means installation is just like stock: Pair the hardware to a good tune with methanol injection and cracking 500 to the wheels is well within reason. Key Features: 450 to 500 HP at the wheels (600 HP at the engine) depending on fuel and supporting modifications 5 Axis CNC Machined High RPM Balanced for perfection operation Substantial power throughout the RPM range Stock Appearance when installed 100% Bolt on installation All necessary hardware and gaskets are included Core Exchange Required $3000 Product page: https://weistec.com/all/mercedes-benz/c/c-400-450/2015-present-w205-m276/w-3-turbo-upgrade-m276.html1 replies | 129 view(s)

Today, 12:13 AMSticky created an article Dyno Spectrum improves McLaren 720S stock turbo 1/4 mile record with 9.187@150.71 run in Exotic Performance - Forums, Tuning, Blog, Motorsport, and Modification NewsThe back and forth in the McLaren 720S M840T tuning world continues and Dyno Spectrum improved their stock turbo elapsed time record although the overall quickest and fastest pass at 155.56 miles per hour remains with DME Tuning and their Pure Turbos equipped 720S. It certainly is commendable and to be noted that this 720S is on the factory turbos and tuned on 93 octane pump gas. They recently added downpipes to the equation: This should mean in theory there is more room on the factory turbocharger with race gas or ethanol tuning. This also means we should see an 8-second pass shortly.1 replies | 85 view(s)

Yesterday, 11:52 PMSticky created an article BPC bumps up an F87 M2's performance courtesy of a downpipe, intercooler, charge pipes, and N55 dyno tune - 422 lb-ft of wheel torque in BMW Performance - Forums, Tuning, Blog, Motorsport, and Modification NewsHave an F87 M2 and want an increase in performance without losing your hat on a trade in for an F87 M2 Competition? The M2 respond well to bolt on modifications an das BPC (Bimmer Performance Center) shows you can extract much more from your M2 with minimal work. In BPC's words: This M2 is receiving some nice performance upgrades via downpipe, intercooler, charge pipes and dyno tune. To help it handle a littler better we added wheel spacers and performed an alignment. With these upgrades this M2 with DCT is ready for some winding back country roads or wide open highway. Yesterday, 11:43 PMSticky created an article Interesting D4 Audi S8 4.0 TFSI Garrett based turbo upgrade and custom manifold build from Under Pressure Racing Development in Audi Performance - Forums, Tuning, Blog, Motorsport, and Modification NewsThe 4.0 TFSI twin turbo V8 Audi platform is seeing some very interesting builds. Under Pressure Racing Development is responsible for this D4 Audi S8 with a very intriguing turbo setup. Unfortunately, they are not sharing many details. The turbochargers are obviously cocked different and they seem to be reverse rotation Garrett units although we are not sure on which specific units. The manifold design is custom but apparently these will be sold and this is all we know about them: It’s tight in there but I think I got it! 1.25 to 1.5 to 2”. They have 1.25 ports in the cylinder head and believe it or not the factory manifolds squished them down even tighter than that on the inside. Once finished we will have them sent out and have blankets made by PTP Turbo Blankets! How much power are they shooting for? How are they tuning it? How are they fuelin git? How is the transmission going to cope? All valid questions without answers at the moment.2 replies | 118 view(s)

Yesterday, 11:32 PMSpeedLimit? commented on article Pista dominates again? Ferrari 488 Pista vs. McLaren 600LT vs. Porsche 991.2 GT3 RS 0-100 acceleration and lap time shootout in Porsche Performance - Forums, Tuning, Blog, Motorsport, and Modification NewsFerrari had press ringers for their NA cars so it's guaranteed that these turbo cars are far more tuned. I don't care what Ferrari quotes, I know the pista is heavier than the 720. So to accelerate at almost the same pace means it's making well over 700 to the wheels.4 replies | 177 view(s)

Yesterday, 11:21 PMSticky replied to a thread The wine cellar: What are you sipping on? in Off Topic - Work/School SafeWell, I finally got on the Sine Qua Non list. Only took 13 years: https://www.sinequanonwine.com/ Just purchased my first allocation. I had the privilege of spending $1500 for 6 bottles or I would be removed from the list. Holy hell is this juice expensive but my wine collection just stepped up big time with this stuff in the cellar. Best of luck ever getting your hands on one of these bottles or getting a taste for that matter. By far the harder list to get on in the wine world:1432 replies | 372887 view(s)

Ferrari 488 Pista vs. McLaren 600LT vs. Porsche 991.2 GT3 RS 0-100 acceleration and lap time shootout in Porsche Performance - Forums, Tuning, Blog, Motorsport, and Modification NewsIt seems that Ferrari will only run against other manufacturers in a controlled environment only! Still remember when they denied the comparison test against the 918 and the P1. At least McLaren had the balls to send the car with a team, only to lose that test against the 918 (motor trend comparison).4 replies | 177 view(s)
