Gintani, Correct me if I'm wrong, but I would think any catless downpipe on an F80/F82 will throw a CEL. "ILLEGAL IN 50 STATES." You'll need a downpipe fix for emissions readiness, no?

Our first set we installed on our test car has put on approximately 350+ miles without a CEL light coming on. We've made our o2 sensor bungs on our down pipes with a special design which we have been testing on our M5 and M6 for a while now with no CEL lights appearing. Now, we are testing them on the M3 and pretty confident the results should be the same as our M5/M6. That being said, there is still no 100% guarantee of a CEL not appearing. "
" Wow, great build man, I just wish I had the money to do all that to my car.
So you preferred the Cobb AP to the JB4? I just JB4'd my N54 and had a hard time deciding if I wanted to go with the Cobb AP or with the JB4. Went with the JB4 because the Cobb was about double the price in the end and everyone seems to swear by the JB4.
Have the Cobb AP on my RX8 but of course they don't come with a lot of tuning capabilities stock so it doesn't make a whole lot noticeable of a difference. "
Pretty obvious. BMW CEO was recently all over the news about how much they want to increase their profit margin. This is definitely a step in that direction. What we don't know yet is how deep this FWD blasphemy will go. If they are merely supplementing their current lineup, and using the badge to its fullest extent, or if they will ultimately replace their core products with...cheaper ones. Who knows?
As they say, the only way to ultimate success in business is to throw away empathy, morality, and family.
BMW saying they want to basically build your car cheaper so they make more money is definitely not something a customer wants to hear. I've been loving all that theyre doing with the 2 and 4 series, don't start to take steps backwards! "
" No our took hook mount will use the factory tow hook and be adjustable from left to right. Funny you mention that it is hard to tighten down the thumb screw. We made a socket to fit the thumb screw to fix that problem. They will be in today and I will post pictures later on this afternoon.

I have that one and it is a bit meh, it's too hard to screw the go pro tight enough to stop it flopping around.
I know this is an old post but I had the exact same thing happen a couple of weeks ago. Did the new seal work or was the head damaged? thanks
I'm guessing the head is fine as I haven't had to do this again on the same cylinder, I would just make sure you replace them with NEW injectors or if you do end up swapping in used injectors make sure you replace both the ring seal and the decoupling element... or this will happen again. Good luck! "
I just thought the M colours looked cool, and strangely it is the one thing I get the most comments on. Everyone loves them.
Also wanted to comment that after many hard street and track kms the only thing that has broken is the water pump, which happens pretty regularly on stock cars as well.
It happened while at the track, I was a bit concerned about getting the car towed from outside the racetrack (complete with stuck on bits of rubber and straight pipes) to the dealership. They fixed it under warranty no problem. The manager of the dealership had a 135i race car with 1M widebody so I ended up sitting in his office talking about what I should do to my car next haha.
One great West Aussie and car
Can you swing by Triggs Beach sometime and take a pic of the car and the beach in the background, I'm home-sick "
