Quoted for truth and repped. You have to work the clutch and e-brake hard to launch the 46M with any umfph so to speak. Definitely doable but hard on wear and tear items and takes a bit of practice to master. I have launched the car a lot on a few suspension setups. I am on my third OEM clutch as well. Last one was overkill but the trans was out for SMG swap so why not.

I also found the car easier to launch with the MT after the SMG swap. I had 4 years and over 60,000 miles on the SMGII. IMO, the SMGII sucks for launching....even with upgraded software... period! It was faster everywhere else; however, than an MT. I have found that the MT shines in DD driving and launching. "

Legitimate question.

As an outside observer I am confused. You took the time to single quote @SleepersOwn legitimate question, yet refuse to answer it and spin it back to someone else. The guy was asking for your opinion on your behavior as owner of Bboost - not ESS - if I read that right. "

An innovative car build will defend itself, and doesn't need to be promoted to garner respect. Although some enthusiasts think differently...

I have been constantly disappointed looking for public validation of efforts with my own projects. Thankfully, I gain most of my enjoyment from doing the actual work, or driving.

A few days later, maybe a week later, I pm'd Mike here and he said the same thing. I will get back to you, and still never did. Sucks because they are pretty close to my parents house and I've always been a fan of their products and customer service. It's whatever though, their products are still well built. I would like my quote to be responded to though at some point in time.
I prefer to use the phone and email for invoices and other documents. Maybe that is why my experience is different? Who know's...

If you know Mike's extension at VAC (I don't) give that a buzz and leave a message. Steve@vac's extension is #13. He usually answers his phone or returns my call quickly. "

MisterEm replied to the thread Automatic transmission for E46 M3, any interest?.
" The th400/350 is a bit long in the tooth these days but still performs well at the track. One could only imagine how the automatic transmissions that began life in this decade stack up to the first Turbo Hydramatics that showed up almost 50 years ago.

If Mert has mastered the logic, this would be a hell of an upgrade for the turbos. A better fit for the 335i out of the box but certainly doable with a bigger torque producing S54 with traction issues and poor 60 ft times. "

" I couldn't disagree with anything you wrote about any of the vendors mentioned here. BW and TMS have taken care of me for 5+ years, but have little experience with BavAuto. James at BW switched my order when I incorrectly ordered the "late" model rod bolts from their website and dropped a private note in the box. Pretty sweet service!

I would like to add VAC Motorsports to a top vendor list and am glad to see they are a vendor here.

Even when their DDoS was getting attacked this winter (no email receipt or returns, website orders failing etc), Steve B. kept me in the loop via phone on a myriad of parts I had ordered totaling just under $5000 (Schrick cams, DLC followers, various valvetrain parts, ITBs, head gasket kit, UDPs, bearings etc). Between two different "verified" home addresses for our family in two different states, a machine shop address where my head was located, and a car located miles away every part arrived where it was supposed to and when it was supposed to - to all 3 addresses.

I was very impressed. "

I like the blue contrast with the gold wheels. Outside of interlagos, BMW makes some lovely shades of blue - Estorilblau, Atlantic, LSB, Topasblau etc. Your car reminds me of the contrast of the Santori (sp?) blue and gold BBS rims circa 2005-2006 STi's - albeit a much better chassis! "

They certainly do. Sal has tweaked my file testing on the street and at the Dyno (Mac Autosport in Parker). He will need you to log some data parameters but you will be in great hands.

Afterall, they do have their own blower kit and have proven their tuning abilities on many other S/C kits - including ESS's own kits. "
