I feel a little disappointed to have spent over $ 3,800 + 210 euros more customs in Spain for these turbos I smoke 1 liter of oil to 5000 km-6000 thousand km
He was pushing this boost way down low to get the tq way up down there, no stock frame turbos will hold that boost to redline. He was very surprised he was able to take them to 21 psi to redline though. You shouldn't have a problem pushing 20 down low to 18 or so up top and they should last. If you are having a problem just drop Rob a line, I am sure he will take care of you. "

" [QUOTE=Charrigan;467624]He had a meeting with a few of the lead engine designers about the N20 last week. BMW must have felt there was a big enough issue to fly them to the states to see what the failures looked like.

They also did testing on the n54 and n55 when they first came out. They actually never blew a n54/55. He said they were testing at 600-650hp.

As far as the n20 they broke multiple engines the same way. When they do this testing they do run the engines pretty hard. He said he would feel safe running a stg2 n20 for 100k miles but beyond the 450nm range he said its only a matter of time till the head cracks. As most of you know the 320i and 328i use the same crank, head, rods, and a few others. He said the pistons are different but he said the crank is "suspect" beyond 450nm. He feels the high coolant temps and the heat cycles they put these test engines through caused the cracked heads.

I was not implying all n20's will blow at beyond stage 2 but the n20 is no n54. He said he would not be surprised at a head change very soon. "

" Core just came in. Don't have it apart yet but with a quick inspection it is basically a mini version of the N55 turbo, reverse rotation, twin scroll, electronic diverter valve. It does have some changes, plastic wastegate actuator housing for one. I can also tell you the compressor wheel is TINY. It looks like a reverse rotation stock N54 wheel. The turbine wheel looks pretty good actually. This thing might be a good candidate for a stage 1 style upgrade. When I get it apart I will let you guys know more. Sticky as far as where I got it. I never reveal my sources... "

You got standard stage 2's with a 6x6 billet 15T, will flow exactly the same as a standard 15T just has more burst protection. Batch 2 will be different. To answer below. Sure lots more info, it will all be in there when I make the announcement. Later this week. "

" Just push the shit out of them if you want. If they break, just call me and we will handle it. Shit Dzenno put 28-29 psi to the stage 1's and was pushing 21 psi to redline just to see (something an RB wont even do). Turbos were pulled off the car working fine and are in route back to me for inspection. So far they seem very durable. Batch 2 is about to stir things up..... "

Shiv had some nice dyno's and was ragged on for not having customer vehicles put out any info and the exact same story is coming out from your end right now especially with these top secret log's etc..

What I also see coming from your end is a bunch of arrogance and an attitude where you feel you are too good for the n54 community, if you truly feel you are too good and "don't need to do this" why would you waste your time and deal with all the bullshit that comes along with it?. You become emotional and behave like a female when people comment, but at the same time try to maintain this arrogant "higher than thou" attitude acting like you can't be bothered to argue.

Who you are as a person has no relevance to the product you put out and I really do hope it's a kick ass product and if it was I would still by it, but the whole act has become very annoying lately.
Please please, show me where I have said I do not need to do this. I have said I do it for fun and because I enjoy it. Does any vendor need to do anything. Got to love guys like this. Im pretty sure you were one of the "innovators" of the platform. Except the platform reach a stalemate in HP numbers and you or anyone else stepped up to actually push the boundries. Yes WHP numbers do PROVE something, they prove a lot. They prove what the engine is capable of, they prove what the turbos are capable of, the next step is someone needs to get the drivetrain sorted and put it on the track. There is no magic, a properly sorted suspension / drivetrain with a decent driver and 725 will put you well into the 10's. Shit even with a shitty driver you should be able to do it. Gotta love all the haters sitting on the side lines typing on a keyboard as we continue to push things forward. Some call it arrogance, I call it confidence in what we are doing. Let me know when you build a car that breaks 550 WHP, or a new 1/4 record. Until then you are just another internet guy complaining. "

Thanks man, just so used to the people for the bash about track times etc when stage 3 hasnt hit the market yet and stage 2's are just getting their footing. I think we should have some results here soon. "

I would guess when one of our customers brings their car to the track. I can imagine anyone spending the money on stage 3 is going to def want to get their car to the track, so once we start shipping I assume we will see more. Obviously this was a question meant to shit talk. I want people to take their cars to the track as much as you do. The 1/2 mile race was great for us and I'm sure the 1/4 races will be too. Guy with a level 10 upgrade just got his install done. He plans on going soon, we will see "

Once we prove ourselves? We came out in nowhere and in 6 months had done what other said was impossible and pushed the N54 platform above 700WHP, and delivered on everything last thing we promised. Prior to that he had screamed vaporware to anyone who would listen. After we delivered he just started bashing to be a dick. Dude is just an all around douche. "

Yeah I joined FB right when it started, I'm totally the reason everyone else joined. Look at my join date compared to other members. I am WAY more important then them. That's about how much sense a join date argument makes. He has been contributing nothing but drama for the past 6 months. Literally nothing by drama. We are working are asses off to push the platform, breaking records, coming out with new products and all he does is come in and bash and derail every thread he steps foot in, mine or anyone elses. You think that is good for a platform? If so it shows you like drama as much as the next girl. "

You got to be kidding us right? You want to equate the success of a forum to one person who does nothing ever but stir up bs drama with everyone? The IQ level of this place shot up 30 points the second he was banned. "

VargasTurboTech created the thread VTT certified install centers (looking for more!).
" Hey guys, after a couple of problems with installs on some of our turbos. We have decided to implement a certified install center program. If you buy turbos from and we do not install them, in order for your warranty to be valid they will have to be installed by one of our certified installers. As of now we have a few already qualified but we are looking for more, a lot more, so no matter where you are you wont have to travel too far to get them installed. If you have a local shop you cannot say enough good stuff about, have our turbos and had an awesome shop put them in, or know of such a shop. Please put them in this thread under there geographic location or feel free to start a new one and we will contact them and try to get them set up. Thanks as always...

As of right now we have:

West Coast:
LTMW (So Cal)
VTT (Nor Cal)

East coast:
Vac Motorsports (PA) "

VargasTurboTech created the thread N55 Turbo upgrade intro price and list for batch 1 pre-orders.
" Hey guys,

Ok so we are getting close to being ready to begin testing on this and I am getting a LOT of interest. A company from the middle east called me and wanted to buy 5 of them on the spot sight unseen. This tells me it is time to start taking pre-orders so I can get a list together as I am only able to do about 10 of these on the first run due to the cost and availability of cores. The intro price for these is going to $3499, for this you get a genuine Garrett Dual Ball bearing CHRA with a custom reverse rotation GTX compressor wheel, custom reverse rotation Garrett turbine wheel, and all the needed lines to convert it over. The turbine and compressor housings are staying the same so all those connections will be plug and play. There of course are other supporting mods needed, as well as a tune. We will be working with PTF as well as Terry on the initial tune as the Cobb N55 software should be ready by the time we are, and BT will have the capabilities to tune these as well. I just had a customer email me and ask if it will compatible with the Procede, that is yet to be seen, but I do not see what Shiv cant tune for these. I will take a total of 5 intro price orders this batch and I will be requiring a 50% deposit to reserve your spot( if the interest is very high, I may add more intro price spots). Spots will be reserved in order of deposit taken and will be shipped in the same order. If interested please email me directly at Tony@vargasturbo.com and we can get everything set up. As always thanks everyone for the support. "
