USP Motorsports built APR Stage 3+ MK6 Jetta GLI 2.0 TSI on 93 octane pump puts down 403 wheel horsepower

Just 400whp in a jetta... Nothing special. haha crazy power.

This is my buddy Patrick's car. He lives like 5 minutes up the street for me. He has head work and cams also. I'll try to get him to sign up. His car is pretty awesome and has a tone of stuff down.

Yes, I can finally comment! Thanks for showing me the site Justin. The car does have head work done, but it is currently running the stock head and valvetrain for now. We put the new head on, but it was actually making less power. So, we sent the head to Ferrea, and they looked it over. The cyclinder head shop up in Palm City completely screwed it up. We drop shipped a new cylinder head to a shop up in New Jersey, and they are now working on the new head along with Ferrea. The head should be done soon. I have a blog and build thread for the car on other forums, but I guess I could start one here, too.

Sucks big time. They have though, somewhat. We're working on it. Hopefully they get it all squared away. I have to say though, so far I've been pretty satisfied, but 400whp is not enough.

At least it sounds like they are trying to make it right. It might be time for a bigger turbo already lol

yes, luckily they are. Head work is always a time consuming thing, which sucks. Most legitimate, trustworthy shops are backed up a few weeks due to all the work they have waiting. And you're right, I really wish I could go bigger turbo right now, but unfortunately there are no tuning options out whatsoever for our platform, which makes it that much more complicated.

Why are there no bigger turbo options?

RAI Motorsports have big turbo kits for TSI platform, they tune with eurodyne maestro. GoAPR obviously have stages k04(you already own it), stage3, and stage3 +.
BSH have their WOA killer turbo kit, unitronic would most likely be the tuner for that or eurodyne maestro software. You can also go to ATP tuning and they big turbo's that you can put together yourself for your GTI, obviously again tuning is the issue.

Tuning is the biggest issue. All the big major companies have promised all sorts of things, but no one releases anything. The TSI motor is farely complicated, and most people don't have the technology and capability to tune these motors. It's a lot more compliaced than a VR6, or an older 1.8t.

Or so they say. How many RAI, BSH, or ATP cars have you seen running big turbo TSI motors making lots of power? I can't think of one. BSH no longer makes the WOA turbo kit, or so they told me. And that kit is hardware only..nothing but the turbo and exhaust manifold..and it's still a gt30..no tuning included either. They're currently running it on their FSI MK5, but not on a TSI. Not to mention, anything bigger than a gt30, such as a gt35, and we are going to need more fueling upgrades, such as hpfp, which is another issue. No one has come out with one yet. A lot of promises over the last year and a half, but nothing. No one has an upgraded fueling solution capable of handling that higher amount of hp.

I will agree with you on all of those statements. Not too many that I know of as well. All I know is one guy with an mk5 has the Eurojet EJ400 kit on the TSI with unitronic. Another guy in mexico has a custom GTx35 on his TSI as well. One more guy with the RAI kit on golf mk6 has an EFR on it 7163 making around 380 whp or so, stock injectors and hpfp. They have tested some ford injectors and are working with his car to get more power from it. Everyone else maybe about 4 ppl I know have the APR stage 3+ kit lol.

APR has lots of $$ and they are pretty damn smart. They make so many products for so many different cars and are really on top of everything. I would wonder what they would be able to do to the benz/bimmer community, damn..

They are...they could easily build a 700 whp tsi monster if they wanted to...they just opt not to. and if you think about it, how many customers are truly going to put out that much cash for a larger build, and how worthwhile would it be for them, taking into consideration all the r&d that goes into all of their products..

APR has lots of $$ and they are pretty damn smart. They make so many products for so many different cars and are really on top of everything. I would wonder what they would be able to do to the benz/bimmer community, damn..

that's the problem...not enough interest, or not enough people to pay for it..

It's true. I suppose I'm just the kind of guy that always wants to do and see the biggest and best. They could no doubt take it further. Maybe they would be willing for the person who wants to pay.

What they do now is pretty incredible as well.

For sure, what they do now is already incredible. Amazing work without a doubt. I'm the same as you. I just want to see more and more. This just isn't enough. I want something outrageous!
